Hope attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2003. She has been working in dentistry since 1997 while still in high school. She is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists auxillary, while working towards a fellow accreditation. She’s also earned a LANAP advanced laser certification. Hope has been active with the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Student Dental Hygiene Association, where she served as an officer for two years.
Working alongside her husband, Dr. Christopher Jackson, they both strive to provide patients the very best in oral health care for a smile that lasts a lifetime. Hope wears many important hats around the office including: registered dental hygienist, office manager, treatment coordinator, financial and administrative team member, marketing coordinator, and human resources associate. She loves working with the talented, caring Jackson Dental team to help patients understand their oral health condition and show them all the wonderful ways they can make changes. Hope says the practice is distinct in the way the doctors and team truly care about the people they treat, along with their unmatched expertise.
Together, she and Dr. Christopher enjoy raising their four children. Hope also spends her free time outdoors, camping, reading, and fishing. She says life is about people — loving people and ultimately God. She’s passionate about her faith in God and His plans for everyone. Her family is very active in the church and the community.
Angela attended Western Dakota Technical Institute and also has CEREC training from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She says her interest in dental care blossomed during high school. Now, Angela has over 15 years of experience (and counting) in dentistry, and has gained incomparable training on everything from performing procedures to perfecting patient experience. She currently assists in the lab with the fabrication of splints and designing crowns. Angela enjoys the precision associated with lab work, and assisting patients during their appointments. She’s very hardworking and always approaches her day with a friendly, gentle, and kind-hearted attitude. Outside of the office, Angela stays busy bussing her three sons to various sporting events. She also enjoys scrapbooking and tending to her saltwater fish tank.
Aerin has become a natural fit in our office after joining our team in early 2017. She has a passion for learning, and has been surrounding herself with new knowledge about all facets of the dental industry since she started. She graduated from Black Hills State University with a B.S. in Communication Sciences & Language Arts, which makes her the perfect fit for a position that involves chatting with different patients every day about their particular needs. She assists patients with scheduling and their hygiene needs, as well as completing a variety of patient related paperwork. She loves the practice’s focus on comfort, saying, “From the lobby to the dental chair, this practice is so passionate about making sure that patients have a positive and comfortable experience.”
Outside for work, Aerin can be found chasing after her toddler with her husband. She’s also active in BHSU theatre, and loves everything Black Hills.
For over three decades, Nancy has been helping patients as a dental hygienist. She received her degree and has advanced anesthetic training from the University of South Dakota — Vermillion. She’s also completed Inspired Hygiene courses, along with advanced laser training. At Jackson Dental, Nancy educates patients about the importance of good home care, takes x-rays, provides periodontal therapy, gives fluoride treatments, takes patient blood pressure, motivates patients, and works with the doctors to develop patient treatment plans. She enjoys being part of the team and feeling gratified knowing that she’s helped someone achieve healthier gums and teeth. Nancy says dental hygiene is her life and she wouldn’t want to pursue a career in anything else or work anywhere else. Part of what makes the practice stand out from the rest, Nancy says, is the dedication from the doctors who continue to invest in the latest technology and always put patient needs first. Outside the office, Nancy enjoys barbequing with friends and working in the yard with her flowers.
Doris joined the team at Jackson Dental after achieving her A.A.S. in Applied Management. She also worked as a medical transcriptionist for Allied Health, which familiarized her with a lot of the dental terms and medical language used throughout the office. She loves helping others, and especially loves caring for patients. She says that our practice is unique because of the highly advanced level of dentistry performed while still having such a personal, valuable touch with every individual who comes in.
Outside of the office, Doris is excited to be attending WDT to become certified in radiology. She married her high school sweetheart, and together they have four children.
Paula has a Bachelor’s in business administration from Dakota State University, with advanced training from Cannon Financial Institute where she became a Certified Retirement Services Professional Designator. Paula is a big help around the office checking patients in and out, taking new patient phone calls, scheduling appointments with doctors and hygienists, and reviewing treatment plans with patients. One of her favorite aspects of working with Jackson Dental is seeing satisfied patients whose smiles have been restored and lives changed. She enjoys working with people and says helping them get healthy is personally and professionally rewarding. Paula is loyal, dedicated, friendly, helpful, and easygoing. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, walking, and reading.
Raye earned an Associate of Science from Sheridan College along with a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene from University of Wyoming in Laramie. She’s been involved in dentistry since 2002. Raye decided to pursue a career as a hygienist because she enjoys helping people find happier, healthier lives. She’s most pleased when patients leave the office genuinely feeling good about themselves. If she wasn’t providing exceptional dental care, Raye says she would consider working in a hospital environment in an administrator role to help restore health care reform. She loves being part of the Jackson Dental team because it’s a family-owned business that strives to provide the very best advanced technology. We love Raye because she’s outgoing, caring, goal-oriented, loves to please people, and is committed to ongoing excellence. Raye stays busy raising her daughter, riding horses, and participating in team roping events. She is a 4-H leader, USA Gymnastics Meet Director, and Treasurer of the Spearfish Gymnastics Booster Club. Her personal motto — “Live each day as a gift.”
Misty has studied at Penn Foster Career School and Western Dakota Technical Institute before becoming a certified dental assistant. She enjoys helping the doctors provide high quality treatment, helping with sterilization, making sure patients are comfortable. Misty says she wouldn’t choose any other career, because dental assisting helps her fulfill her goal of helping others. She’s proud of the Jackson Dental team, their ability to offer CEREC same-day crowns, provide dental implants, and give patients the smile they’ve always dreamed of having. Misty is always smiling, motivated, trustworthy, respectful, and responsible. When she’s not assisting patients, Misty is usually busy spending time with her family and children. She also sings, writes music, and is the proud founder of the Misty Rose Band.
Lacey is a proud graduate of Black Hills State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology. She’s here to help patients understand their treatment plans and goals, coordinate appointments and financial arrangements, and also checking patients in and out. When she puts on her Marketing Manager hat, she can be found organizing advertisements, sponsorship opportunities, and other methods for getting the word out about all the great work that Jackson Dental does. She loves the family atmosphere at the office, and that the team truly cares for each patient and their patient’s needs.
Lacey is the mother of three boys who all play sports year-round, so if she’s not at the office, it’s a pretty good bet that she’s on a ball field or watching a meet. When she and her husband do find a moment of free time, they love to go camping and fishing and enjoy the outdoors.
Rita has been working in dentistry since 1980 and has formal training from Central Technical Community College in Hastings, Nebraska. In addition to her schooling, Rita has continuing education certifications in laser technology, local anesthetic, nitrous administration, and Inspired Hygiene. She has been an integral part of the Jackson Dental family since 1990. Rita helps treat patients with dental hygiene treatment and education to help them achieve and maintain exceptional oral health. She loves working with patients and staying up-to-date on all of the latest research and technology. Rita says she decided to pursue a career in dentistry because of an overall interest in the healthcare field, science, and biology. She’s proud to be a member of the team because of the genuine care and compassion everyone tries so hard to always provide all patients. Rita is honest, hard-working, independent, and an active Christian. She likes spending time with her children and grandchildren, bible study, gardening, helping prune grapes at the Belle Joli’ vineyard, completing home projects, and hiking.
Cathy has been part of the Jackson Dental family since 1994. She attended Western Dakota Technical Institute, becoming certified in dental assisting. Cathy is responsible for sterilization within the office, weekly testing of the sterilizers and autoclave, and helps fellow team members as needed. Cathy says she has great respect for the doctors and her co-workers as everyone works together to provide the best care possible in South Dakota and surrounding states. She frequently recommends the practice to friends and family, knowing they will receive the highest standard of care. Cathy commends the team for genuinely caring for one another like family, as they came together to provide immediate, unwavering, and ongoing support following the loss of her husband. Outside of the office, Cathy enjoys listening to good music, especially bluegrass, and working around her home.
Patty attended the University of Minnesota and the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Nursing program. She also has advanced training in orthodontic assisting. Patty is no stranger to dentistry having been with the practice since 1979. As a dental assistant, she is always busy helping patients achieve better oral and overall health for a smile they’re proud to share. She is proud of the exquisite level of care the entire Jackson Dental team has always provided and will surely continue to provide to generations of patients. She takes great pride in the thoughtful choices the team makes to ensure patients are always comfortable and well cared for. When she’s not in the office, Patty spends time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and loving labradoodle. She’s also active in church and community activities. Patty has a positive attitude and outlook that’s refreshing and relaxing, that has truly helped so many patients feel at ease for over three decades.
Tera joined the practice in 2013, after graduating from Minnesota State Community & Technical College. She also has advanced laser training from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, along with continuing education credits from Inspired Hygiene, and is working in myofunctional research. She helps patients by recognizing and treating the signs of gingivitis and periodontal disease, providing invaluable patient education, comfort, and assessments. Tera also assists with radiology and sterilization needs. She chose to pursue dental hygiene as a career because of an interest in health, science, and helping people. Tera says she loves being part of the team because of the Jackson family’s dedication to spending the time, money, and extra effort to make the practice and its dental team the best it can be. Outside of the office, she spends time with her husband and family, riding and competing with her horses, and playing recreational sports with friends. We love Tera because she’s kind, reliable, respectful, outgoing, and competitive.
Stephanie received dental assistant training from Western Dakota Technical Institute. She also earned a double Bachelor’s from Black Hills State University and is a proud member of the basketball alumni. Stephanie has post-graduate experience with CEREC restorations and the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries. She joined the Jackson Dental family in 2013. Some of her responsibilities within the office include: assisting with implant placement, extractions and grafting surgeries, general procedures, fillings, and crowns. She is also working extensively in sleep studies.
Stephanie enjoys working with her fellow team members and says she chose a career in dental assisting because there’s always more to learn in an environment that’s always changing. If she wasn’t a dental assistant, Stephanie says she’d be helping people as a physical therapist. She does a great job putting patients at ease thanks to an outgoing, energized, fun, and organized attitude. Stephanie loves staying active outside of work, enjoying every moment of the sunny days, and spending time with friends and family.
Kristin joined our team in early 2017 because she loves helping people have a healthy smile. You’ll find her all over the office assisting with sterilization, getting patients seated and ready for their treatment, and also assisting with x-rays, crowns and fillings. She loves the compassionate atmosphere that both the doctors and the staff create, working together to be sure the treatments are the right fit for each individual patient.
Outside of work, Kristin keeps busy with her three (YES THREE) kids and her husband. They love to go fishing or playing in the local parks. She also enjoys painting and relaxing with friends and family.
Kristie joined the team in 1999 after graduating from Western Dakota Technical Institute as a certified dental assistant. She is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries, and has advanced training with CEREC restorations and Inspired Hygiene. She enjoys helping the doctors chairside while treating patients, and is also thrilled to be a part of a skilled team dedicated to providing patients with exceptional dental care. Kristie says the practice is unique because of the advanced technology, compassionate doctors and team, and an ongoing commitment to pursuing advanced dental education. She’s kind, efficient, reliable, caring, and friendly. When Kristie isn’t busy at the office, she enjoys outdoor activities with her three children and husband. The kids are very active in sports such as soccer, football, and basketball.
Even though Tara has only worked for Jackson Dental for a short time, she’s been with us since she was a little girl! Tara was a patient of ours before deciding to join our team as a dental assistant, learning how to help with extractions, root canals, and anything else that needs to be done around the practice. She loves how personable and friendly everyone is, and well as the great team atmosphere. She says, “You can’t find a better group of people!”
Outside of work, Tara and her boyfriend Billy can be found wrangling her three kids. They enjoy camping and being outdoors as much as possible. She also loves riding horses and helping out on her family’s ranch.
Nita has completed Sphere training along with courses at All Star Dental Academy, and has been working within dentistry for well over two decades. She’s a seasoned professional at dealing with insurance claims, managing account receivables, helping the office managers pay the bills, checking patients in and out, answering phones, and scheduling appointments. Nita enjoys working with the public, and says if she wasn’t helping to provide quality dental care, she’d be doing banking, accounting, or bookkeeping. She loves working at Jackson Dental because of how much the entire team cares for patients, while striving to help patients get the treatment they want and need. Nita says she admires the dentists’ ongoing interest in having the best, up-to-date technology so patients enjoy the most modern care available. She says she’s blessed to have family and friends close to her, as well as grandchildren, and husband who are successful. You might find Nita fishing, hunting, going to the movies, camping, baking, playing cards, socializing, and enjoying music when she’s not busy at work.
