Jonathan Krum, PhD, DMD
Dr. Jonathan Krum had a rich and colorful life prior to settling down at Jackson Dental. As a past infectious disease research scientist, turned college professor, Dr Krum is hard-wired to study and learn constantly. This supported him in furthering his education, as a non-traditional student, to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University. Dr. Krum is highly dedicated to remaining up to date on the latest techniques and technology to help provide patients at Jackson Dental access to advanced dental care.
In addition to his schooling, Dr. Krum has over 500 hours of continuing education training in areas of occlusion, digital dentistry, orthodontics, pediatrics, implants, and oral pathology. He completed post graduate programs for Orthodontics from the United States Dental Institute, Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and International Academy of Dental Implantology.
Dr. Krum remains active as a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has also been recognized for his outstanding dedication to quality, compassionate dental care with the following awards: the Laurence D. Johns Endodontics Award, the Outstanding Dentistry Award from the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Hanau Award for Prosthodontics and a certificate of recognition from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Krum and his family take full advantage of all that the Black Hills have to offer. In the summer, you will find him out mountain biking, camping, or fishing. Dr. Krum, his wife Abby and their 2 sons recently completed a 50-mile, 5-day hike through The Wind River Range in Wyoming. Dr. Krum is highly active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife both lead an early morning church youth group, every day, for High School aged kids. Faith, family, and providing quality dentistry is what is at the core of Dr. Krum and he tops it all off with a sense of humor that is not for the faint of heart!
