Joni G. – Orthodontic & Clinical Certified Dental Assistant
Joni spent eight years as a certified nursing assistant prior to joining Jackson Dental, and that caring touch shows chairside. When hired, Joni was determined to learn and absorb as much knowledge as possible. With her drive and willingness to learn, she worked her way up to become the lead assistant in the Orthodontics Department. Joni has a degree in graphic design that gives her an eye for the detailed orthodontic work that is done at the practice.
Joni thrives as a member of a team and says she appreciates that we are able to complete so many different procedures in office. Watching each step in the process of bringing a patient their best smile ensures that Joni gets to learn something every day, something she says she loves. Her ties to the area make her a patient favorite as she finds common ground and puts everyone at ease. “I consider it a good day when I can help someone and make them laugh,” she explained.
She spends her days off on her family’s ranch with her husband and son. A true South Dakotan, she loves to hike and enjoys the outdoors.
